House of Cherith and The Freedom Collective Announce Ribbon Cutting for New Emergency Care Center
Atlanta, August 27 - House of Cherith is thrilled to announce its partnership with The Freedom Collective in the launch of a new Emergency Care Center (ECC) dedicated to supporting women and families affected by sex trafficking, sexual exploitation, and domestic violence. This new facility will be unveiled with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, September 4th.
The Emergency Care Center, located in Atlanta, will provide crucial crisis and stabilization services to women, families, and minors. The Freedom Collective will offer a 24-hour hotline and transportation services to assist women and families in urgent situations. Concurrently, House of Cherith will provide emergency stabilization in a secure, residential environment around the clock. This new initiative allows us to reduce our waitlist for families and single moms, ensuring more immediate access to critical care.
“We are beyond honored and excited to launch this new phase of programming,” said Dr. Kelsi Franco, Executive Director of House of Cherith. “The ECC will offer 24/7 access to compassionate, trauma-informed care and is a significant step forward in our mission to support survivors.”
The Emergency Care Center will feature 14 emergency beds and has the capacity to serve approximately 125 women per year. It is designed to accommodate single women and families, providing each individual or family with their own private room. Following their stay, residents will be referred to House of Cherith's safe house or other supportive program partners.
Key features of the ECC include:
24/7 Availability: Immediate, round-the-clock care and support. The Freedom Collective will provide a 24-hour hotline and transportation to the new center.
Crisis and Stabilization Services: Emergency assistance and a safe environment for recovery.
Private Rooms: Personal space for each individual or family.
This initiative marks a pivotal moment in expanding support systems for survivors, ensuring they receive the comprehensive care needed during their recovery journey.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at the new ECC location
