Fighting for Freedom: Laura's Journey with House of Cherith

Laura's journey with House of Cherith began in the fall of 2023 when she first heard about the organization through a colleague. Intrigued by our mission to provide safe housing and supportive services to survivors of sex trafficking, Laura came on campus for a tour and was moved by what she discovered.

Prior to the tour, Laura had already felt a calling to serve and support victims and survivors of human trafficking. Over the years, Laura had intermittently dipped her toe into learning about human trafficking, only to find herself overwhelmed by the enormity of the issue. She felt the Lord continue to call her and felt compelled to dive deeper into learning more about sex trafficking and the severity of the issue in Atlanta and our country as a whole.

As Laura walked through House of Cherith, listened to stories of hope, and took in statistics, she knew she wanted to get involved. Seeing the resident homes and the resources House of Cherith offered was truly inspiring.

Laura is a member of Fight Club, our monthly giving community. The newsletters, behind-the-scenes updates, and opportunities for involvement and prayer have kept her engaged with our mission and serve as a reminder of her ongoing commitment to survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Recognizing the value of recurring donations, Laura quickly joined the Fight Club community. It wasn't the size of the donation that mattered but rather the consistency and dedication behind it. As she becomes more involved with House of Cherith, Laura finds herself drawn to the sense of community fostered among donors—a shared commitment to fighting for freedom and advocating for those who have endured unimaginable trauma.

For those seeking to learn more and get involved with House of Cherith, she recommends diving into our website to learn more about our services and taking a tour. By hearing the stories firsthand and witnessing the operations of House of Cherith, individuals can gain a deeper understanding of our mission and feel empowered to take action.

Laura's journey with House of Cherith is a testament to the power of her passion to fight human trafficking. Her commitment serves as a reminder that while the realities of human trafficking may be difficult to confront, they are impossible to ignore.
